River Torrens Linear Park Path

Stretching almost 47 kilometres from the hills to the coast, the River Torrens Linear Park is a popular spot for walking, running and cycling.

River Torrens Linear Park Path UsersThe River Torrens Linear Park is one of Adelaide’s most distinctive recreation spaces. In our City, the River Torrens Linear Park extends from Felixstow Reserve to Hackney.

Using the shared path:

  • use the shared path like you would a road—stick to the left and overtake on the right
  • if you’re walking a dog, keep them on a short leash on the path
  • if you’re cycling, don’t go too fast and keep a safe distance between yourself and any pedestrians you encounter, especially children and animals. Make sure your bike has a bell so you can alert others that you're coming.

Please note: Dogs must be kept on a leash on all parts of the River Torrens Linear Park path in the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters. If you’d like to let your dog off-leash, you can visit one of our ten off-leash parks or reserves
