Council’s 2022 - 2027 Tree Strategy

There are more than 20,000 street trees in the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and 7,000 trees in  parks and reserves. In an important step to ensure the establishment,  protection and longevity of our trees, the Council has delivered its first ever Tree Strategy.

The purpose of the Tree Strategy is to set out a roadmap  and actions required to strategically increase the tree  canopy cover in our City.

Importantly, the Strategy has set a target of planting 500 new trees each year over the next five years.
