Annual salary of $70,430.31- $74,423.61 + Statutory Superannuation

Join our City Services Unit and help create a vibrant community through the ongoing improvement and care of our city's green spaces. As a Team Member Arboriculture, you will play a key role in the maintenance and development of our park and street trees, contributing to the environmental health and aesthetic appeal of our city.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Works Coordinator, Tree Services, the Team Member Arboriculture is responsible for planting, pruning, and removing trees in streetscapes, parks, and reserves. Duties include operating Elevated Work Platforms (EWP) for maintenance, responding to emergencies such as fallen or damaged trees, and ensuring arboriculture improvements. The role focuses on maintaining high standards of safety, presentation, and public satisfaction in open spaces.

About You
To be successful in this position you will be a passionate horticultural team player who takes pride in the work you do and possess the following skills and experience:
• Experience in horticultural practice, involving or relating to the maintenance of open space.
• High level of knowledge of best practice tree pruning and felling techniques.
• Certificate in Arboriculture, Horticulture or significant demonstrated vocational experience is highly regarded.
• Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence (Class MR or greater).
• Chainsaw competency ticket.
• Elevated work platform competency ticket.
• Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate.
